Facilitated by Chic and Cheryl Welsh-CharrierWhat are You?

Our Monthly Book Group will begin a new title in March, What Are You? by Imelda Octavia Shanklin Available in print and e-format from Unity or sold on Amazon. Facilitated by Cheryl and Chic Welsh-Charrier.

First published in 1929, this remarkable book describes what life is like if it is lived from the point of view of directly knowing our true nature, our oneness with God. This spiritual maturity then shapes how we think and what we choose to think about and what we consider real and worthy of our time and energy. It also brings into our awareness what our true resources are and how we can tap into them to create a truly fulfilling life. Finally, this book brings fresh insight into what it means to live a life of nonresistance.

Imelda Octavia ShanklinImelda Octavia Shanklin served at Unity School from about 1910 until 1930. She was ordained as a Unity Church minister in 1918. Her metaphysical activities embraced lectures, class work, and contributions to magazines and other publications. While at Unity, she was editor-in-chief and also editor of “Wee Wisdom” from 1922 until 1930.

“You are a soul that has forgotten its divine identity; a soul now struggling to remember, in the mists of time and in the confusions of experiences, that you are the living son of the living God” —Imelda Octavia Shanklin
