Facilitated by Rev Vernelle Nelson
First Session: Monday, September 14
7:00 to 8:30 PM on Zoom
Development of New Thought and the Unity Movement explores Unity’s origins as well as its evolution from a small group of spiritual seekers into the worldwide spiritual movement Unity is today. Topics explored include the events that inspired Charles and Myrtle Fillmore to share their spiritual insights, Unity’s three-part ministry of prayer, publishing, and education; major events (including controversies) in Unity’s history, and Unity’s relationship with the larger New Thought movement.

The Universal Christ
Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world. When we recover this fundamental truth, faith becomes less about proving Jesus was God, and more about learning to recognize the Creator’s presence all around us, and in everyone we meet.
